01 1.6LX Petrol Poor Fuel Economy after repair. - Sparks
Hi - had the fuel tank filler neck flexi hose replaced recently ( leaking fuel was the tell tale sign of it's demise ! ) but have experienced very poor fuel economy since then. I realise that it could be coincidental, but do you know of any problems with this replacement part, e.g. is there a filter or such like attached to it which could have been missed by the mechanic !?

I realise it is a long shot but thought the replacement hose just might be related......

Thanks.

Unless it's actually leaking; to have used more fuel would have involved the engine running rich.

Had it done so; the ECU should have flagged a long-term fuel trim code - unless the coolant temp sensor has failed.
