Hi
I've got a noisy diesel pump on the above vehicle & have obtained a replacement from a scrap yard. I however note that the connections are different despite them both being a Lucas Cav 70 pump. The one fitted to my vehicle has a two pin blue multi plug connection and a loom coming from a module fitted underneath the pump which them connects to the cars loom.
The replacement pump I have does not have a module fitted but simply has a black two pin multiplug in the same place as the blue plug on the original pump.
I presume the difference may be due to the keypad immobilisor fitted to my vehicle whereas the vehicle the replacement was removed from did not.
Does anyone know whether these parts are interchangeable?
Many thanks for your assistance.
Kind regards
Steve.

That pump may be the same shape as the old one; but so is one off a Mondeo. There's no way of knowing whether it will even fit and, if it does, whether it will wreck the engine.
On your pump is a metal plate with the pump typecode and exact model number. You need to find a perfect match or you're in minefield territory.
Noisy pumps are rare; are you sure that is the problem?
