coolant sensor /steaming radiator - bigdaddy
I have had trouble with a coolant temperature sensor, replaced it and shortly after had warning signals. Expansion tank was empty and steam rising from the radiator. I filled it with coolant to max then drove home, still warning light, still steaming.

Has the rad blown?

Is it a hose problem?

Is it something else?

Is it safe to drive five or six miles to a dealer?

Check the coolant temp sensor is not leaking.
If you have a severe leak, then driving more than a few miles (or when the oil has reached temp.) will be risky.
See if you can see a leak when refilled and engine is ticking over when parked.

if you put some fresh anti-freeze in it will leave white stains were its leaking from
