Hi,
I have a Corsa 1.0 (3 cylinder) on an 02 plate and very recently it has started to 'tick'.
This is most noticable at idle, but it increases in rate as the engine revs increase, but will then stop until at an idle again.
Careful listening has narrowed it down to the hinge area of the drivers door.
Does anyone know if there are any relays, actuators, pumps (?) in this region. Could be at the drivers end of the dash ? Could be in the wing cavity or bulkhead area ?
If it was an old BL car, I would say that the fuel pump was sticking.....
I'm baffled and getting rather iritated.....
Thanks for any ideas,
Sutters.

Maybe coming from fusebox under the driver's end of dash (I assume Vauxhall still put their fuseboxes there)?! Have had similar clicking before in a Nissan and it was caused by a sticking electric window switch - just a stab in the dark but worth checking!

Thanks,
That's sort of what it sound like.....
I'll have a look and let you know.....
Cheers,
Sutters.
