My passenger side wing mirror has broken off on my Mk 3 Cavalier LS. I don't want to pay the £60+ charge from the local vauxhall garage for a replacement which will just be knocked off again in the multistorey car park a few months later. Anybody know where I can pick up one cheaply around the Hertford or Harlow area? Any scrappies around - couldn't see any in the phone book but I am hopeless at navigating the Yellow Pages.
Why can't I find an abandoned cavalier by the roadside when I need one :-)

While we're at anyone know if the Rover 213 will have the same wheels as my 414?
I've seen an abandoned one and the wheel trims look might tempting!

Depending on where it snapped off you could even fix this mirror back on with duck tape. It's wide, strong, and very sticky. I did it a couple of times on my SRi. If you're clever you can paint over the duck tape so it hardly shows.

I was just about to rush for the araldite, but unfortunately the whole mirror assembly got ripped off and is smashed to bits.
Doing a bit of ringing around and I found out £25+postage for a used one from Vauxhall Spares, or £30 for a new one from the local auto part store.
