just bought a second hand ford finesse for the missus, who was really chuffed with it until when taking it out for a drive found that when she put her foot on the clutch say at traffic lights etc the engine was racing away like nobodies business, needless to say when i took it back to the garage they could not find anything wrong with it. Previous owner is my neighbour and she had similar problems, anyone know of a cure cheers
Just re-ordered the subject line so that when people read down the lists of posts it may stand out a bit better - PU

Easy one to fix,
Cheap way to fix is to remove the speed sensor multiplug on the g/box (Three pin type)
Proper way if a wiring re-work of the throttle position sensor (A Ford TSB Was issued for this complaint)
