I have a volvo s80 V reg about 7 years old. The car has had the same battery as the one that it came with when it was new so the battery is also about 7 years and has finally run out. It won't take charge anymore, I have kept it on the charger all night. So I have gone to Halfords to look for a similar one and its going for £84.00. Does anyone know where i can get it cheaper. The battery is a 12 volt / 520 A Normal lead acid battery. Thanks

Halfords will never be the cheapest. In my part of the world (Midlands) I use Bosch Silver batteries from CAS (Central Auto Supplies) - they are a great price. Ring around a few of your local factors and compare prices.

I would use a Bosch Silver battery from GSF car parts.

Yes GFS or Euro Car Parts do top Bosch batteries with a 4 yaear guarentee for very sensible money.
Problem solved.
