hysmc.co.uk empty - Brian
The slolen car noticeboard www.hysmc.co.uk has been up and running for a couple of months now but NO cars have been registered with it.

Does no-one want to get their car back, is the publicity inadequate, are insurance companies and the police not interested, or what?

Maybe it's just that no-one has heard of it. I hadn't.

KB.

Likewise.
Re: hysmc.co.uk empty - Big Vern
Nice idea, but I cannot see it working for me If my car got knicked, " Has anybody seen my bog standard sliver vectra that looks identical to every silver vectra on the road , ie the same as every 24th* car"

* an obviously made up statistic

I hate to be really negative towards someone elses well-intentioned idea (btw, who?) but I don't see this site working.

BV's comment is valid, but there is a more serious flaw IMO. Are people meant to read and memorise a list of stolen cars in their county and look out for them? Or remember the details of any 'suspicous' looking cars they see and check when back home?

Maybe I'm missing something

Andy
Re: no wonder with a site name like that - JB
This site is an excellent example of another one of those internet ideas that went wrong.
