heating fan has stopped working( great when trying to drive with misted windows) removed fan got it running the controller panel seems to be working (graphics all lighting & moving ) I need to know if there is a relay panel or control panel hidden in a cunning place.
Also is there any way of testing dash control panel

There are 2 common problems on these. If the fan motor is ok, then 1 possible fault is the electronic speed controller (this is the aluminium heat sink device)attached to the fan motor.Second possible fault is ignition switch failure on 1 circuit .Test for battery voltage at large red cable to heater blower (engine running).also do not forget the usual fuses.hth

cheers elekie&a/c doctor there was no speed controller on fan just 2 spade connectors linked direct to red&black wires no current was found
at red cable thus I thought a control unit might be behind dash somewhere . checked fuses all ok surprised to see fan had 40amp fuse. If no speed controller on motor is it behind dash? Thanks in advance

Ok.If there is no speed controller on the fan then this car has the later system with a separate unit clipped into the heater box in the air ducting. As far as I recall you need to look for an electronic device with a green multi pin connector in passenger side footwell /heater area.hth

ok ill go bending backwards to find it there always in an easy place thanks for quick reply. Is it possible to check out this unit before buying new one

elekie&a/c doctor Thanks for your help have found the little device & removed it (back is now twinging a bit ) all I need to do now is check it any Ideas. Once again thanks Hazza

really need a digi voltmeter to check the sysrem correctly. The main issue is that there is battery volts at 1 of the fat red leads with engine running. However this fan controller part is fairly cheap;about £40.

thanks for help part on order £41.62 from main dealers hopefully that will be that.

Just to update found not to be modulator unit no power to fuse from ignition so ran direct feed through 40amp fuse from battery to
power inlet (grey wire) everything ok no need for new ignition etc so NO money to spend.
