Its the cambelt renewal thats due that will put some buyers off, plus its the 90bhp model (with no air con?). The new MOT and 6mths tax help of course as do the new tyres. See what they're going for on ebay maybe?
|
Ask £2250, take £2,100 - it's a nine year old car needing a cambelt change remember.
|
not too sure about the belt change it was done at 90k in september 2004i assume it to need changing at 40k or 4years so again assume it needs doing in the next 10k. how much would the car be worth without the pending belt change?

As I can get an SE of that age and mileage for £1900 yours is worth less than that.

Sold my 96P 1.9TDI saloon (90 bhp), base spec but with alloys, bright red, 145K mile (S/H to 100k), nice & tidy but nothing exceptional example, for £1850 without any difficulty. I also advised the purchaser that a cam-belt was due. This was 8 months ago, but I don't think they have really dropped much since. Makes me laugh how much folk are prepared to pay for a diesel.......

Unlike buying new, an older diesel will pay for itself after 3 years compared with the equivilent petrol engined model.
They make a very sound buy if you can twirl your own spanners
