My daughter has an M reg 1400 Clio with single point injection. She is complaining of high fuel consumtion, around 20 mpg. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

Change the coolant temperaure sensor - it's probably running ' on choke' all the time. CTS failure is not exactly unknown on Renaults (my colleague has got his 3 year old Megane in for just that today!).
