Hi - I have a 1996 Peugeot 306 non-turbo diesel with low mileage and I'd like to treat it well... Is it worth adding an oil treatment when I change my oil (which i do every 6 months)? If so, which ones are good? It must be hard to prove, but I'm open to anecdotal evidence from you lot....
Ever seen the little oiled cogs on the counter at your local parts supplier? You turn the 'normal oil' cog and you can see the oil dripping off the cogs, but then you turn the cogs with the American oil treatment and its all gloopy and sticks on the cogs.... So my question is, does this stuff just increase the viscosity of oil?
Any input appreciated! Yes, I have read the authoritative post on oil viscosity at the top of the board...
Thanks,
Jeremy
