I am seriously contemplating buying a Focus ST but I'm being put off by some scary reports of fuel consumption of less than 20mpg.
If you own an ST can you let me know what you're average fuel consumption is and what your typical driving conditions are?

Can't comment on new ST but can comment on old St170 and 1.6. The 1.6 in town driving happily drops to about 30mpg, and the ST170 in mixed driving returned about 26. It's entirely feasible, i'd have thought that you could get 20mpg out of a new ST.

Best friend, Focus ST, driven with a pretty hefty foot most of the time and he's getting 23.9mpg on the computer after 1800 miles.
