3% Cashback on Fuel - type's'
Just thought I would notify you of a credit card I have just received that pays 3% cashback on all fuel purchases.
It also does it with grocery/food purchases.

It is the GE Money everyday credit card.
With fuel prices as they are it is an attractive incentive.

Also there is no annual fee.

That's good - i only get .5% with my Liverpool Victoria card but I DO get commission and fee free overseas use which is a saver when some charge 2.5%!

Type's'. Thanks for the tip. I applied on line and was approved within an hour! 3% off my fuel and food isn't going to be like a lottery win but I might as well have it than give it someone else! Thanks again.

3% Cashback on Fuel - Welliesorter
I mentioned this a few weeks ago but it didn't seem to generate much interest (unlike the card if you don't pay off the balance in full).

I've had mine a few weeks. Only two drawbacks so far: no internet banking (this is promised for later in the year), and the card gets rejected by Asda and Tesco pay-at-the-pump machines. Apparently there's no problem using them in kiosks at these stations but some Asdas are pay-at-the-pump only.

This seems odd in the case of Asda, as their own credit cards are provided by GE and have their own fuel discount.

If you get one, set up a direct debit to pay it off in full. You can do this in the phone call to confirm receipt of the card. Otherwise, any cashback will be more than clawed back in the form of interest.
3% Cashback on Fuel - RichardW
I saw the previous thread too, and got the card - in fact we got 2 (separate accounts) so we can double the potential cash back (only get 3% on up to £5k spend). No problems so far.... Just need to get rid of some of the other 5 CCs I've still got. No wonder people get into trouble really is it?

Is it illogical? It must be Citroen....
3% Cashback on Fuel - Vin {P}
Just a warning note. I used to have an Alliance&Leicester card that gave 1% cashback. Then I received, out of the blue, a letter that started, "Dear Sir, For your convenience...." and went on to explain that for my convenience (I'm not joking!) the cashback rate would now be 0.5%.

All I'm saying is, watch out for that letter; it'll come at some point and will be disguised in thw way mine was.

3% Cashback on Fuel - PR {P}
I looked into this, but as RichardW says, its only 3% up to £5000 spend, so thats £150 cash back per year, which is ok but not as good as it first seems. (thereafter it reverts to 0.5%)

I have the Amex Platinum card which pays 2% cash back if you spend more than £7,000pa. As I do that with ease , taking into account business spending and holiday spending its a great card for me. its recommended in the www.moneysavingexpert.com website.
