i own a 1973 austin minivan which is under restoration, i am going to fit a low milage 1098 unit into the car. Due to the fact that it shares the engine oil with the gearbox, and that the engines are old fashioned and not as well built as nowadays. What can i do to preserve the life of the engine, as well as keep it relatively refined and pleasant to drive. My father has also recently purchased a new ford focus, would it be worth putting a product such as slick 50 engine treatment into both or either of the cars to improve their lifesapn?
