Out of the toolkit supplied with a Daimlet Ferret Scoutcar possibly??
|
try a ferret on the internet but the scoutcar thingy was my thought till you said 3/8ths,this is a modern size so the ferret is probably more likely a red herring..
|
Ferrets were produced upto 1971 and I have 3/8ths spanners 20 years older than that. All ferrets came with a comprehensive tool kit most were snafffled during there operational live.

Hi All!
I realize this thread is a year old, but you may not have the info you seek yet...
The F-70-N was produced from 1937-1946. There will be a mark somewhere on the ratchet handle (like all Snap-on tools) that will indicate the exact year in the mentioned range. A chart which will help you identify the year-of-manufacture for all Snap-on tools can be found at: www.swedishwrench.com/snap-on_chart.htm
Another site that will provide you with lots of information on Snap-on and many other famous American wrench brands is the very excellent Alloy Artifacts at: home.comcast.net/~alloy-artifacts/index.html
Best regards,
LG
