If its definately the GT TDI it will be 150ps. Other VAG tdi's vary from 90,110 & 130 & it is not always clear which one is which from the colour of the badge.
Not to mention the 115 TDi as well....

And 100ps.........
Badging is not a reliable indication, my Passat has the 130ps engine if the colour scheme was to be believed.
Check the log book.

The 150PS TDI only came out later on in the MK4's life. There were definately earlier GT TDIs with the 130PS and 115 PS PD engine.

silver tdi = 90bhp
silver td red i = 110bhp
silver t red di = 115 / 130 (pd engines)2000 onwards
red tdi = 150bhp (pd engine)
Badges were supplied in the glove box and any combination could be fitted or retro fitted. Its better to look at the log book or chassis plate.

silver tdi = 90bhp silver td red i = 110bhp silver t red di = 115 / 130 (pd engines)2000 onwards red tdi = 150bhp (pd engine)
silver tdi = 90bhp also 100bhp PD (and 105 in the MkV)
GT TDis were 110, 115, 130 and 150 depending on year, the 130 and 150 ran concurrently.
As has been said anyone can master the art of badge engineering, the only proof of the actual spec is the VIN.

Also euro imports from Denmark particularly all had just a silver TDI badge.
The same goes for the GTI, some had a red i and some didn't, no matter which engine it had.
