is it as easy to change as it says in manual. and can you do it with the battery conected.

It would help if you gave us the year, engine size and fuel type of your Mondeo so we can post specific info.

1. Depressurise the fuel system by removing the fuel pump fuse and starting the engine. It will stall when the residual petrol is used up.
2.Fuel filter is situated under the car on the drivers side in front of the fuel tank. Release the fuel pipe clips each end of the filter by squeezing them and twisting by hand. Catch the drips of petrol in a suitable container.
3. Undo the securing clamp holding the filter and slide it out making a note of the direction of flow marked by an arrow.
4. Install new filter and do up securing clamp.
5. Refit the pipie clips making sure they click securely home on each end of the fiter pipes.
6. Start engine and check for leaks.
