Hi
Own a 53reg X-Trail dci sport, facelift model. I have been offered one of the Nissan sat nav units which was originally from a pre-facelift model. It looks as if it is the right size to fit into the space below the radio currently occupied by a cubby hole with a hinged fascia.
Does anyone know if the unit will interchange between the two models? Also and more importantly do Nissan use a common wiring loom so the unit can be plugged straight in? Can I expect to find the relevant plugs behind the cubbyhole? Splicing the unit in would put me off, don't think I could do it myself.
The model no. for the sat nav unit is XM-001D(NE)
Other numbers are 'B8200 C9982 Central Unit'
My friend only wants 100 pounds for it and I know it's legit.....

For £100 I'd get it anyway, you could always sell it for more on ebay if it's not straightforward. Is this the birdview system as used on Muranos etc...?

Thanks for that Ashok, have made a bid. The system is by Xanavi for Nissan, about the size of a standard car radio slot. The screen folds away into the unit when not in use rather like a cassette.Decent size screen too, operated by a remote control.
Friend of mine paid £1500 for it as an optional extra, when trading in the dealer wouldn't take it into account for valuation purposes so he removed it on principal....dealer wasn't too happy!!
Think you're right about buying it anyway, nothing ventured nothing gained
