The fuel gauge normally shows a totally incorrect reading, and I use the odometer to give me an idea of the level in the tank.
I changed the fuel sender/float in the fuel tank but this has made no difference.
There is probably a bad contact some where (you can sometimes see the gauge moving as if this is the case) but I cannot find it.
Anybody got an idea? It would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers. R

Sound like it could be an earth problem or the guage itself is faulty, make sure the connections going onto the fuel guage itself have good contact. I hope that helps some bit.
