Has petrol gone up this week?
Costs almost as much as the smelly stuff now.
No mention of price increase on the news?

I haven't kept tabs, although I use half petrol and half smelly stuff (no, not in the same vehicle, Silly), but one of the reasons given today for the increase in the rate of inflation from 1.9% up to 2.6% is the increase in petrol prices.

Yes,
In my area the best price has gone from 68.9 to 70.0 per litre.

Prices rose on the Rotterdam spot due to the uncertainty about the statements buy both Bush and the Iranian Presidents threat to attack the arab oil fields.

Diesel seems to have gone up 1p a litre in the East Midlands in the last 10 days but can still be found @ 73.9. The AA's Petrol Buster web site can give you fuel price within 15km of any postcode in the UK which can be helpful. Also my local Safeway were doing 5p off a litre if you spent £20 in the shop. The forecourt was heaving!

Think yourself lucky - here on the Isle Of Man unleaded is currently running at about 75.9p for unleaded and super unleaded is at 79.9....
Then again, our tax is only £70 for a year and there's no MOT to worry about.

"unleaded is currently running at about 75.9p for unleaded"
Duhhh, should proof read more carefully, can't you go back and edit a post?
Alex.
