Not sure I dare ask this in light of previous posts....
My 406 has started making a low 'brrrrrrr' noise which seems to come from the fuel pump on the engine. It started intermittently but now seems to do it all the time, but the car runs fine.
Any clues as to it's cause? Is it likely to be a sign of internal damage - cue big bills? I notice there's a drain plug on the pump, would it be worth draining and refilling or should I leave it alone?
As usual, advice gratefully recieved.
