Hi all - long time no type!
My old purple mondeo, which I've had for 4 years and driven to death, finally died the other day - or rather something else went wrong and I had to make the decision to say byebye *sniff*.
So, I've bought myself another one - a gorgeous TDCi LX on a 52 plate. 1 owner (fleat) with 91K and it seem sound.
I've read the car-by-car breakdown but its all a bit techie for me to really put it into perspective.
Does anyone have any hints or tips for me with this one?
Cheers, as ever - and hope all is well!

I'm sure Cheddar and MichaelR will have 1 or 2000 words to say shortly ;o)

Thats an ominous post ... should I be nervous?

should I be nervous?
No, DD means that Michael R and myself are likely to be pro Mondeo though I only tell it as I find it, I have had my 2002 Ghia X TDCi from new, now on 104k miles, it has been great, rear subframe bushes needed doing at 100k, I did it myself, £80 in parts, £350 at a dealer, so that is something to watch out for at that age/mileage.
How much did you pay?

You can't go far wrong with a Ford, even when things do go wrong they are usually relatively cheap and easy to fix. The TDCi engine seems to be well regarded.

MichaelR's knowledge of Mondeo's is astounding! Should be on Mastermind.

Have you considered a Mondeo TDCi - brilliant car. ;-}

Erm - I never like talking money when I pay for a car as I always think most on here would have got it for cheaper!
I don't think I paid way over the odds for it - less than £5k and more than £3K ... but I also think I could have gotten it cheaper else where but I really liked the car.
What would you have expected to pay for it? 52 plate, 2.0 TDci, 1 owner and 97K on clock?
