Morning People!
Have a query if any of you guys can give us some advice I would be much appreciated.
I have 99 Fiat Punto S (60000 Miles)which broke down on the motorway. I was happily driving along when all of a sudden I could not accelerate anymore. As I moved to hard shoulder my car cut out. I was towed to my local garage and he is looking it at it as we speak. Any suggestions with what he might come up with?
Cheers

Faulty coils, defective ecu maybe needing reset or replaced (expensive)could be anything really fuel starvation, the list goes on.

The guys just come back from the Garage and he says my cam belt needs replacing & will have to order a kit for it?! Would one of the symptons of a faulty cam belt be loss of power and acceleration? Definatly had fuel in it tho!

No cam belt it would stop never to go again till it was replaced, you are lucky it did not destroy the engine.

So this guy is charging around £150. Do you think thats reasonable

Sounds a reasonable price if that includes fitting+vat, did he say the cambelt actually snapped ?
