I got a 1992 T4 caravelle 2000cc petrol.She runs lovely starts first time when cold or hot.The trouble is if i drive anywhere so its hot then leave it for about 20 mins it just wont start.Turns over ok no sign of the engine wanting to fire.Leave it till it gets cold and it starts straight away.Can anybody help.thank you.

Have you done any checks when it is in its non runnuing state?Is there a spark?If so see if fuel is getting thru(is it carb or FI BTW?)

Fuel vapourisation ,have you lost a heat shield just a thought.

Hi thanks for replying,have not checked when in a non running state.Always a non start when out visiting and this only happens rarely.Try to get it to happen at home but always starts.Fuel injection model.Wifes car have now tooled up so if it happens again will do some checks.Many thanks Busboy
