I have a MB E320CDI estate. Bought new in Jan 2001, it now has 148,000 miles on it.
Should I keep it and run it into the ground, or sell it while it still has some value - although I have no real idea how much value?
Touch wood, nothing major has needed replacing, is it a question of when, not if?

A quick flick through autotrader suggests it's worth upwards of £8,000 were you to sell privately.
You could keep it 2 more years and it still might fetch £5,000 - which could be cheap, comfortable motoring. What would it cost you to replace it and own that replacement for two years?

Since buyin the Alfa, my views have changed.
I bought from new and only intended to keep for 3 years. I evauated the "cost to change" at the 3 year period, and decided that it was better to run the car till it dies and then start again.

I omitted to mention that my car is used for business and I carry passengers "for hire and reward" so the appearance is another factor to take into consideration.

I would check the bodywork for any rust, as they can be badly afflicted.
If the mechanicals are fine as well, then I would keep it as it will still be a relatively modern car that has been used for longer runs, so should last for years.

I read frequently, but only post when I have something useful to say.

Espada III - well if you have a family and need a Lamborghini, what else do you drive?
