My plip c/l packed up with the key I usually use a couple of weeks ago. I've been using the spare, and I assumed it was the batteries in the original key. Having replaced them, it still doesn't work. The little LED indicator on the side of the key comes on but doesn't activate the locking or immobiliser. This leaves me with the one key which leaves me slightly nervous. Does the key need some sort of reprogramming or has the transmitter really packed up?

My one and only key stoped working and it was the IR led that had a bad joint. Check it is transmitting with a IR sensitive camers (you can check your TV remotes this way too) A dab of solder sorted it out. Of cource that assumes you have the IR plip key.
Just to make you more nerviouse I started using my key and the door lock broke compleatly after two months. Not sure how you get around the imobeliser if you dont use the plip. Thankfully mine imobeliser doesnt work.

When it packed up, I only had the one key -I'd left what turned out to be the good one at the garage! So I could get into the car but not start it, which is why I'm distinctly nervouse!
