Private Number Plate Swapping - The Ring

Hi all,

Was wondering if someone could give me some pointers in what I do when i want to swap my private number plate from my old car to my new one. The old car im still keeping aswell so that needs its old registration put back and then obviosuly place the private plate on the new car. I have no idea what forms or where i may need to go to start this process, any help would be great.

Ive checked DVLA and theres no clear explanation for swapping private plates, ive also emailed them, they have read my email but didnt bother to reply back.
