HELP between 1600 and 2000 rpms i have an annoying vibration which seems like it is coming from the front left hand side,when i accelerate or decelarate it goes away.there is no vibration at all when not in motion only when it is moving and gets more noticeable when towing,ive taken it to 2 garages but cant seem to find it as it is only there when in motion.ive read a few reply to something related to the egu or something but not sure please please could someone help forgot to mention it has done 102,000 but still feels like new (exept vibration)

Hi, My 2002 TDCi also feels like new after 97000. There are two causes of vibration that I have heard, the first one my car had a slight case of though it was easily fixed, a drumming type vibration at idle caused by oscillation of the auxilliary belt, new belt, pulley and tensioner requ, as I say this is at idle and is from the off side, right side so unlikely to be your issue.

The other problem I have heard of is to do with the intercooler pipe work vibrating against it's surroundings, a Ford dealer will be aware of this and should advise a simple fix.

it was the intercooler bracket cost £14 plus labour
