Vectra Power Loss on low fuel - paulvm
Having problems with loss of power whenever the fuel tank is below quarter full.
The car is Vectra 1.8 LS registered April 2004.
Fine the rest of the time but fails to respond to accelerator and splutters when this occurs.
Could it be dirt in fuel tank?

Perhaps water in the tank.

Hi mate I know this seems strange but have you thought of the Air mass meter. My missus's Vectra was Always Suffering similar problems, Changed this meter and hey presto better (not perfect though!) All this and it wasn't showing on there stupid diagnostic machine so they were lost... as to what it was..
Another dealer reckons this is quite common on newish Vauxhalls because of the fuel tanks fitted these days and the way they are baffled( in the pink fluffy head head if you ask me for this shall be the last Vauxhall I ever buy)

could be blocked tank breather. See if releasing the filler cap fixes it.
