Nonsense - Martyn, Back Room moderator
Please see my addition to HJ's thread "The nonsense I have to deal with".

Could I please ask anyway to think for a moment before they name names? Whatever the rights and wrongs, the owners of hj.co.uk must be extremely careful about what's published here, in case of possible litigation. In this instance I doubt an action would have succeeded, but even so the trouble it would cause would be more than it's worth.
Re: Nonsense - Dave
Right on Martin.

Using real names in the virual world without permission is wrong.

I now have a question for HJ.

HJ, Your class put downs are my favorite feature of your column.

a) Do you have a favorite robust reply of yours to share?

b) Do you have a faviorite stupid/cheeky question to share?

My personal fave was the guy who was asking about customer service on a 25 year old VW camper. In one of your books.
Re: Nonsense - Dave
Spot the missing t!
Re: urgent - fao Martin BRM - speller
Martin, you missed this post under the "Terry Maxwell" heading, which names the ******* person from the HJ's "nonsense" thread :

quote
" Author: David W (---.btinternet.com)
Date: 21-01-02 09:30

Despite obviously being against the forum being used for such posts I could only smile at the thought that Terry Maxwell might be Roy @!#$'s mate...freedom of speech and all that.

David "
end quotes.

PS: Dave - your reply has more spelling errors than simply a missing "t", favourite in British English is not spelt as by Bill Gates on Internet Explorer.

Colin Speller.

You'd better think long and hard before ever committing yourself to an NHS vasectomy then. If you thought you moved quickly earlier...

You don't half know how to make a bloke's toes curl!
Re: congrats. - Martin BRM - Brian W
It is strange how spelling checkers seem to revert to English (American) when you aren't looking!
Re: URGENT - another missed reference - Martin BRM - speller
Martin:
you missed the following clue:

an anagram of "Pi slurry boys"!
in the post by
Author: Ronnie Courtney (---.btinternet.com)
Date: 20-01-02 20:23

lets see how quickly you edit that.

I think we'll leave clever Mr Courtney to carry the can for that one!
Re: URGENT - another missed reference - Martin BRM - Honest John
I don't understand any of this. If someone sends ME a letter for publication, there is no way they have any right to complain if I publish it. They send a letter for publication, they have no right to sensor where it is published.
