Following on from a similiar threat of speed humps making roads damaging for low cars, does anyone else have a problem with height barriers ?.
One of my vehicle is an old Bedford RL and when we lived in Pembrokeshire we would go out on Sundays with it.
Now we are back in Hampshire there is almost nowhere to park it.
I suppose it is because of travellers ,but the height barriers have also caused non entry for (when we had it ) our old series 3 Landrover which had a roof rack.
I spoke to a chap who owns a Camper Van repair garage and he is delighted with them as he has loads with top front end repairs to mend.
Where do you park if you are touring with a camper van ?.
Also I have noticed since we have come back to the south how car parks have shrunk at beauty spots.
The car park at Chesil Beach was huge, and when we were kids we stopped there one night in a camper, now it is a tiny car park with pay and display meters, and is the same almost every where.

Never had a problem like that in my old Bedford RL days. 4WD, low ratio and go around them ;-)

4WD is in low ratio only.
