Help. Morning people, can anyone solve this problem (electrical funnily enough) that I've got with my Jag. The problem is that the warning buzzer won't go off, It came on yesterday morning & is still buzzing 26hrs later. Whilst it is buzzing my indicators, rear demister, hazards, front & back foglights, radio & interior lights don't work. No faults appear on the dash when the VCM button is pressed & it is starting to hack me off. It done it once at the weekend for about 10 mins, again no indicators etc during this, but when it stopped of it's own accord I had indicators etc again. Can anyone tell me whats causing this & how to stop it, please?

Is it a general warning buzzer, or a specific one to indicate a door or boot is still open, low coolant, low brake fluid, handbrake still on, for example?
|
It's just a general buzzer i.e same as if lights are left on when you open the door.

Well I managed to stop the buzzing noise, now I still don't have indicators, hazards, rear demister, elec. ariel, interior lights or front & rear fog lights. Is it a relay fault or possibly an ECU fault? All the fuses are fine. Anybody got any ideas? TIA

Check behind glove box (passenger side)for body control module mounted on metal bracket. It may have water ingress from bulkhead area, especially if your car has battery in engine bay. This Ecu controls a lot of timed functions including the items you say have failed.

It was after checking & unplugging this module, that when reconnected the buzzing had ceased, but alas the indicators etc still didn't work. What's the current price these days for a replacement. (suspect it will be hefty :-(

As mentioned, water ingress into this ECU is a problem and they are very hard to come by secondhand because so many fail.
