is there a reliable speed camera detector available in the uk,
if so, where & what is the price.

take a peep at www.ukspeedcameras.co.uk. it states that truvelo(?) cameras are being mounted in gatso boxes and, if I read it correctly, detect oncoming traffic.OP

Thanks to devolution our dear Scottish Executive has apparently been able to decree (as things were done in the Soviets) that radar detectors are illegal, whatever applies in the rest of the UK (of course they nod through every UK ANTI-motoring notion), so be aware you have to hide them up here.

Is it not safer to be watching the road ahead rather than peering into shrubbery to find a disguised camera or concentrating on the speedo?

At least three camera here are well obscured by

a, hedge,
b, road sign,
c, bridge support
