Pug 406 Remote Central Locking - spicester

Hi first post and need help have looked everywhere for a solution. My central locking is fine as are the ecu's and the key - the problem is leaking aerial washer let water into the remote locking sensor bay filling it with water and fusing the curcuit board. Can i get a replacement sensor without having to have the whole system recoded by the dealer etc and if so where from cos I have searched the net and cant find anyone who sells them. Any help greatly appreciated

Hi spicester,

Try looking in your local scrappies, they might have what you are looking for. Is this a IR receiver or RF? The RF receiver is in a different place.

try cleaning the receivor up with some lighter fluid and a cotton bud this worked on both my 306 and a clio i used to have after they got wet from leaking ariel grommets, must be a french thing

Its the infrared sensor thats causing the problem next to the sunroof above the rear view mirror, thanks for advice will try cleaning it all up but it happened before i bought the car and that was over 2 and a half years ago lol just decided i wanted it working as it should be !!!
