Changing the keyfob battery on a Zafira? - cdb
Anyone know how to change the keyfob battery on an X reg Zafira?

Can't see how you get the keyfob open.

Presumably the same fob is used on the Astra?

The key (metal bit attatched to a large U-shape made of plastic that forms the sides of the fob slides out. To get it started, you level a screwdriver in the small slot on the back.

Once this has been removed, the fob splits in half by pulling it apart. I think the battery is CR3023.

Be careful as the battery holder is prone to breaking off the PCB if man-handles too much.

Do it quickly, as you have to preprogramme the car if you take to long ( a few minutes is fine)

Which is put the key in the ignition, turn until you get tthe dash lights, then press the fob buttons. If sucsessful, the C/L will trigger.
