Hello all,
2001 128,000miles
I have a noticeable flat spot between 1250 and 1500rpm when standing still - if the throttle is set to this point either standing still or cruising in traffic, the van will hop an cough along. The only thing that clears it is to either dip the clutch and roll, or accellerate out of it. Adding to this, overall accelleration is poor and fuel consumption is well up - no black smoke though. Timing belt changed recently, but i know from experience that one tooth out on the pump will really show itself!. Would this be the case if the valve timing was out?????..
I could really do with your help with this one, it's driving me nuts!

Oh, cheers steve!... I mainly drive long distance motorway so it's not such a hammering on the engine/drivetrain. He must have punishing the cr@p out of it to go that early on!.
