Is anyone else having a problem with the Kia Pop up ad locking up Firefox. I have tried it on 2 different PC's, One running XP the other running W2000Pro, And I have the same problem on both. When I have Clicked on the Kia Popup (either by accident or on purpose) a new window appears that then locks up the screen and it is a CTRL+ALT job to close it. Am I alone in this? I have emailed HJ but he has said no one else has reported it!!!
As a note, I would like to say that I have no problems with Pop ups being used, but I do have a major issue if the ad companies just assume we all use IE and dont test the ad's properly.
Am now going off to write an email to Kia to explain the problem to them and see if they can kick the ad company into gear (am convinced it is not me)

Remember, advirtisers like KIA do not just pay for themselves to be here, they pay for you to be here too. HJ
Oh I know, And I found out about the problem whilst clicking on the ad to view the site, which is what they want. But it still annoys me that they write ad's that lock up a version that is only one back from the current (so not exactly out of date).

Ummmm, Have upgraded to the latest version(of FireFox) and it still has problems, not quite as bad but still locks up - ah well.

From Firefox's Tools>Options>Web Features tick Allow websites to Install software and Load Images (you can allow or refuse websites as you wish from the Allow and Exceptions boxes).

Firefox works fine for me (on the Kia pop-up).
I upgraded a couple of days ago (after it prompted me) to 1.0.6.
In the options Stuartli mentions, I don't have Install software ticked.
I do have Load Images ticked, and the 'for originating web site only' sub-box is unticked. (I *think* that might be the critical bit?).

Version 1.0.6 has been out for quite a while.
