Have you primed the fuel system? From memory this car uses the peugeot / citroen 1527cc diesel engine, I think there is a bulb you need to squeeze a few times after changing fuel filter which should be nearside of engine bay towards the bulkhead. Am sure one of the experts will be along shortly but might be worth a look in the meantime!

3T is correct. After a new fuel filter you must prime the fuel system using the rubber bulb.
Open the bleed screw at the top of the fuel filter/themostat housing (or the outlet union if no bleed screw) and pump the bulb until all bubbles disappear . retighten union/screw.
Switch on ignition and pump a few more times until firm resistance is felt.
Use cloths to mop up surplus fuel and rubber gloves: diesel fuel is bad to skin. (and inflammable) so take care..)
Then try starting. after checking there are no air bubbles visible in the (clear?) tubing delivering fuel to the injectors.

Many Thanks
She is now up and running and purring like a baby, ( if a diesel baby does in fact).
Many thanks for your time.
