The acetone thread reminded me:
It is months since I last used Millers Diesel Plus, my last few fillups mave been Texaco nad normal BP, I then filled up with BP Ultimate (95.9p/ltr!!) and the smell reminded me so much of Millers.
I am convinced that BP Ult uses the same cetane boosters as Millers therefore it might be inadvisable to use Millers with BP Ult because, I am guessing, it might be an issue having overly high levels of cetane in diesel.
Any thoughts?

ive got a mk5 gttdi golf that i put ultimate into.
ive read that people using ultimate are still putting millers in their tank but it just seems a waste to me.if i was going to use ordinary diesel id think about adding some millers but like you say not with a fuel thats already higher in cetane.in the owners manual it says you can use petrol additive for petrol engines.but do not use diesel additives in diesels.
dont know why.
