Passat tdi coolant temp indicator - Prunner
I have a problem with the coolant indicator on my passat.

Most of the time it indicates 90 after everything has warmed up.
Sometimes it just sits at zero.

I have found 2 post in the history of the forum indicating that this is either the thermostat failing or the sensor. Looks like thermostat sticking to me.

My problem is I don't know where to locate these to replace them?

Can anyone guide me in the right direction?

Any advice much appreciated.

Are all the hoses associated with the circulation of the coolant warm or hot to the touch when the car has been run for a while, regardless of what the temp gauge reads? If they are I suggest that it can't be the thermostat; sounds more like a dodgy electrical connectionto/from the temp sensor to me.
