Just had my insurance renewal through.
Going from 1 year to 2 years' NCD and being 27 instead of 26, the premium has come down by £100 and - get this - my insurer's renewal is still significantly cheaper than anywhere else so far, including their own online quote.
Is this a record?

I have found that my Esure policy, on renewal, is cheaper than anything else I can find!
Most annoying, always like to feel that I have saved some money each year by moving around!

Not that I can remember? Enlighten me?

If you have 4 years or more NCD (which I think you must, to be an esure customer) Privilege guarantee to beat your renewal premium. I haven't seen the Ts and Cs though.

The thing is they will beat it, by say £1. How much hassle is it to change and would you bother for £1?

I have generally and consistantly found that elephant.com have given me the best prices in the last couple of years. It's always worth adding a second named driver to your quote - someone experienced, eg parent - as it usually decreases the premium. Good luck.
