1995 VW Passat. petrol CL
My dials have gone haywire.
The other day while starting up, fuel and temperature dials made a weird clicking noise and the needles went all the way round and tangled together. Now they are stuck.
Any ideas what has happened and how to fix it?

Can anyone tell me how to get to look at the back of the dials?

Dont know the motor.But wonder if you either have ECU fault or alternator?.Just a thought and may get the experts to come forward

I understand it is a common VAG problem.
My garage says it requires a new dial insert (£271 incl parts and labour)
Does anyone know of a Passat messageboard?
