There's a new site to help motorists with technical problems. If you can't find what you want, then apparently you can mail in and the panel of experts will answer your technical query. They say that at the moment it's free, but they will be charging for advice at some point in the future.
Site is at: www.auto-solve.co.uk
All technical advice from the Back Room boys will still be free !!

Looks interesting to me. I haven't been aware yet of a question which someone here hasn't been able to answer, but there may come a time I suppose. Thanks for letting us know, Dave.

Dave,
Interesting responce from MBRM, I thought you may have been in trouble when I saw this. :0)
As M says, my faith is with the regulars here for advice.

Well, we don't actually offer that service here at hj.co.uk, so it's not as though they will be in direct competition. What we do have here is a brilliant informal network of advice which is available to anyone through The Back Room, and which is supported by the weight of Honest John's years of experience. And soon even more of that experience will become available through an extension that we hope to make to the website early in the New Year.

I am glad you have discovered our web site. It not only has a 'help desk', but has over 130 pages of technical information mainly on different aspects of engine management. Please come and have at look at www.auto-solve.co.uk feed back is always welcome.

By all means Simon, I always enjoy perusing a new site but I must say, that this site has not failed me yet, in terms of technical advice, stimulating thought, education & humour that has become addictive.

Every time I try and visit this site it crashes my computer. One to avoid I think.

You too eh Simon? Oh dear.

Auto-Solve is a very different type of site to this. It isn't in the same arena and doesn't claim to be. I have respect for anyone who puts cash and time into a website that gives them nothing back other than satisfaction.
Every extra bit of information we have on the web for fault finding is a benefit. I've looked at just one tech example (Fiat Panda cutting out) and it is spot on by my experience. They do need loads more input for different vehicles though.
Good luck to Simon (auto-solve)

And me! It's worse than The Archers because it's here 24/7.
Back Roomers Anonymous, anyone?
