I have had an aircon pressure switch on order for my skyline with the local nissan dealer since October of last year. In their terms it says orders for imports are non refundable. Does this mean I have to wait forever for the part to arrive or lose the money I have already paid (the contract forces you to pay upfront)? I want to cancel the order and try Middlehurst nissan or an independent as I really need to get hold of this part and I am sick of waiting.
Any ideas on where I can go from here?

There may be better advice, but if it was me, I would visit and ask for a refund as they haven't fulfilled their contract within a reasonable time of three months. If they won't, then if you paid by credit card, contact the number on your bill and ask for a dispute chargeback form, this is ultimately a VISA / Mastercard form and arrangement, not the name of the bank on the card.

I agree entirely with Schnitzel. If they cannot get hold of the part and it has been on order since October then I think you are entitled to have your money back. Lets face it, I am sure they won't have had to pay for it and have not lost anything so why shouldn't they give you your money back after all of this time.

I thought that would probably be the case. I just wanted to make sure before insisting on a refund as companies always know when you are slightly unsure of your ground
