Driving lights - ka razy
have just fitted a pair of "bolt on" driving lights to a 03 suzuki jimny, wired through a relay and switch. Can anyone advise if this will put an abnormal load on the battery/alternator when used in addition to the main beam?

assuming the bulbs are 55 watts each, and the light supply feed through the relay comes off the battery, then no it should be fine.

Unless your alternator is not up to it..No reason at all either will be affected..Battery is only used when current requirement is too heavy for alternator to cope with. result flat battery.though warning light will warn if this happens..See no reason to worry.

Most modern cars have alternators rated at 65A plus, so your extra lights will have little effect on the load on your generating system.
