I think the batteries in my central locking fob for my 98 primera have ran out. I have looked for replacements with no successs yet. ( sure they will be on ebay somewhere ). Once i get them is there anything i need to be aware of when replacing them??

Nissan fobs use two CR1620 button cells. You can get these from a local motor accessory shop. Also try a watch shop or even Smiths (some calculators use these and big Smiths branches stock them).
Use a coin to unscrew the battery cover and do the swap. Can't think of any likely problems. They are reliable.

Thanks in advance from me as well. I am still on the original key fob batteries after 10 years on my Primera and the range is getting shorter & shorter...down to about 1 metre-ish at the mo.
Now I know what to get in advance I may have a go at chnaging them this w/e.
cheers
