I have just purchased a solar battery charger to use whilst car is laid up for 6 weeks ( primera 1998 petrol). Although there are clips to connect to the battery in the event of the cigarette lighter being disconnected by the ignition switch. I would still like to connect from within the car if possible? I have not been able to find any gromets that I could feed a couple of wires through so I was wondering if I could connect a couple of terminals to an alternative supply from the battery. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Quite often ( assuming your fuse box is inside the car ) you can plug a fuse into any spare slots in the box and tap into a live feed that was. I assume you think that your car will not go 6 weeks without discharging the battery to much to restart the car. Regards Peter.
