handsfree kit not working - Dave Andrews
hi

i had to disconnect the battery on my audi A6 - 1998.
now reconnected the radio and everything else works fine apart from the nokia phone wont charge in the nokia cradle.

the phones doesnt even recongnise that its in the holder. ive tried another phone to no avail.

any ideas?

Often these kits are directly wired to the battery, so you haven't just forgotten to reconnect the wire (either +ve or -ve) have you?

Or there might be an in-line fuse that's been disturbed, or even blown as the battery was reconnected.

Maybe it's correct, but I'm a bit surprised the phone doesn't know it's in holder? My holder has dodgy connections - just worn out I think. Could this be a co-incidence on yours?

Check the relevant pins on the holder (the two on the left, I guess) for 12V.

il try looking at the battery connections later. ive tried a friends 6230 nokia phone and that doesnt recognise it either
