Is it still avialable, and in auto form as a brand new car, and if yes, where?
Thanks

"Att Honest John/moderator/s
Please could you change the title to Gold mark and posts or just delte it and i will post the question another time.
Thank you in advance and sorry."
Done, happy to help :)
No need to apologise,
I've also deleated the other posts from you and Cardew that referred to the error, simply to avoid confusion. There was nothing in there that gave me any concern.

In answer to your question, almost certainly not, but you can still get the Leon, Bora and I think the old Octavia if there's something the Mk IV has that you particularly like.
Of course, if you're after a Mk IV Golf specifically, there's very little chance of that and if you do find one, it's been standing for at least a year.

Thanks, just as i thought but it was worth a shot.
Missed the boat when i think motorpoint has 1:6S, Auto with air con for 10;5 k plus road tax for brand new imports about 10 months ago. Story of my life.
Octiva/fabia - i remember the old skoda jokes and this puts me off - me a badge snob, more money than sense i think. However, been temepted but the old skoda jokes do put me off even going to the dealership to look at one, but octiva looks good on the road.

www.broadspeed.com has the Golf 1.6S Auto for just under £14k including a free personal satnav.
Otherwise www.tins.co.uk has the Leon 1.8S Auto for £11,851.65. Although the Leon has held its value well over the last few years, it's an older design now and a lot of the saving will be lost at resale time.

If that's the only thing that puts you off, then the joke's on you.
The Octavia is a cracking car, a superb buy and what's more is normally cheaper, yet comprehensively better equipped, than its VW or Audi equivalent (Bora and A3/4). The Toledo, built in Belgium, is the Seat version.
The Octavia is built in a brand new factory to VW standards - our local taxi drivers buy them by the bucketload from a Glasgow source and cannot praise them highly enough.
The Fabia is also a super little motor.

Went to Lancaster the other night and 9 out of ever 10 taxis were Octavias!
